Defining Notification Message Text

Top  Previous  Next

You can instruct the fax server to display network notification messages in response to the following events: successfully sent faxes, unsuccessfully sent faxes, and received faxes. You can define unique message contents for every fax server.

On the Notifications property sheet of the Properties dialog box, define the messages you want to display at the FACSys user workstations in response to the users' send and receive actions. Then click the OK or Apply button.

For faxes received in an electronic mail application, the "received" message you define will also appear in the Subject field. FACSys users can turn their receive notification messages on or off from the FACSys Desktop Tools|Options dialog box. For instructions on enabling and disabling this message, refer to the FACSys Desktop manual.

NOTES:

Every FACSys user can turn their receive notification messages on or off from the FACSys Desktop.
If inbound and outbound notifications are not being sent and "Error 26" is posted to the Windows Event Log, verify that the QUEUE\IN and QUEUE\OUT directories exist on the fax server. (These directories are created by the FACSys installation and should not be removed or modified.)
