Since Version 4.7, FACSys incorporates a new FACSys Device Service Provider Interface (DSPI) component that communicates directly with manufacturer supplied device drivers. The new DSPI interface greatly simplifies the installation and configuration of fax devices for use with FACSys, and provides a greater support mechanism for troubleshooting fax issues.
As discussed in detail in the FACSys Administrator manual, before installing the FACSys software, you must install and configure your fax hardware using the utilities and instructions provided by the hardware manufacturer.
To identify a board within FACSys, you must add the fax device to your FACSys configuration.
