On the Connection tab of the gateway's Properties dialog box, define the information required for the fax server to make a connection to the gateway. Most gateways require the following:
| • | Enter the path to the server resource - Define the path to the directory or share that should be monitored by FACSys. FACSys will poll this location looking for fax messages to be processed. Use the source path syntax required by each mail transport or gateway service. Local directories should designate a drive letter rather than the fully qualified universal naming convention path. For example, if a COM Server is installed on your local file system, you may enter a drive letter in place of the server name as follows: C:\FaxFiles. |
| • | Logon to this connection as: |
| • | Account - If required by the gateway application, enter the name of the account that FACSys will use to log onto the gateway system. For example, MS Mail and SMTP both require logon account names. |
| • | Password - If required by the gateway application, enter the password of the account defined for access to the gateway. For example, cc:Mail, Notes, and SAP R/3 gateways all require a password. |
| NOTE: | Detailed configuration notes and suggestions for every FACSys gateway type are included in technical support bulletins on the FACSys Web site at http://tsb.facsys.com/facsys.nsf/TSBs. |
