Installation: What Happens?

What Happens when you Install the FACSys Fax Server Software?

The FACSys server installation program does the following:

Installs all FACSys fax server software.
Installs the FACSys services, defines their Startup Type as 'Automatic,' and starts the services.
Creates and configures a FACSys Document Printer on the fax server used for rendering file attachments. The printer is configured automatically to output to the FXS: port using a custom FACSys fax print driver.

Note: Windows 2003 changed the permissible printer port naming conventions to a three character label, the FACSys printer ports are now:

FXS: Port for the 'FACSys Document Printer' described as the 'FACSys Fax Port' and created by the server installation.
FXC: Port for the 'FACSys Fax Printer' described as 'FACSys Port' and created by the Client Desktop installation.
FXQ: for the embedded printer queue port created by the FACSys Embedded Code Printer Driver installation.
Installs the FACSys Administrator program (optional).
