Managing FACSys Services
When you install the FACSys fax server software, the FACSys services are also installed with a startup type defined as 'Automatic.' This means that the services will start each time Windows is started.
The following procedure is useful if you need to stop the FACSys services and start them again manually.
To manage the FACSys services:
| 1. | From Control Panel, run the Services applet. |
| 2. | From the Service list, highlight the 'FACSys' service you want to manage. |
NOTE: A blank in the Status column indicates that the service has not been started.
| 3. | Do one of the following: |
| · | To stop the service if it is running, click the Stop button. |
| · | To start the service if it is stopped, click the Start button. |
| · | To make the service automatic or change the service's logon account, click the Startup button. In the Service dialog box, make the Startup Type 'Automatic' and click OK. |
| 4. | To close the Services applet, click the Close button. |
NOTE: The FACSys Administrator Tools menu lists a command named Restart Device Manager. Choosing this command will stop and restart the FACSys Device Manager.
