Generating FACSys Reports

Top  Previous  Next

All reports available to a fax server are listed in the FACSys Administrator Reports folder that displays in the fax server's resource list. Every FACSys report reflects the activity of the server from which you run the report. You also have the ability to optionally collect activity data from all fax servers to which you are currently connected.

All fax server transaction activity is posted to a Microsoft Access database file named HISTORY.MDB located in the FACSys directory on the fax server. This file is used as the source for generating FACSys reports. The report is then displayed on the screen.  Options are provided to Print the report or to export the Report to various formats including PDF, XLS etc.

To run a report, double click on a report name in the Reports folder. The Report dialog box that displays contains the following options:

Report on event history from all known servers - Select this option to include data from all servers to which you are currently connected.

Define the report options and click OK. All the report data is prepared and is displayed on the Screen.

Transaction History on the Fax Server

All fax server transaction activity is posted to a Microsoft Access database file named HISTORY.MDB located in the \FACSYS program directory on the fax server. This file is used as the source for generating FACSys reports. All transaction activity is posted to the HISTORY.MDB file indefinitely. This gives you the ability to generate fax activity reports for any time interval required.

To "reset" or purge the transaction database, click the Delete History button on the server Properties Logging tab. Note that by doing so, you will be overwriting your fax server transaction history. The history database will be cleared of all transaction data.
