General Fax Server Information

The General property sheet of the Properties dialog box lists server status and usage statistics for the current fax server. The listed items are useful for troubleshooting and technical support purposes. You cannot make any changes to the information on this property sheet.
The Server Information area includes server up-time, installation date, number of defined user profiles, current active users, and installed user licenses.

The Installed Components area lists the version information for every fax server component. The following server components are listed:
· Device Properties Database This database maintains information about the capabilities of all fax devices supported by FACSys. When you define a new fax device, FACSys refers to this database for default settings and properties to be applied to the device.
· Fax Hardware Device Driver - When communicating via a fax board, this driver interfaces with the fax device during the sending and receiving of fax transmissions.
· FACSys Device Manager Service - This FACSys service controls the rendering and scheduling of outbound faxes, as well as the receipt of inbound fax data.
· FACSys Router Service - This automatic service allows FACSys users to access third party fax messaging services and other fax servers by means of "connections." The FACSys Router service is used by FACSys to deliver a given fax once the server has determined a destination transmission route.
· FACSys Server Service - This FACSys service manages the inbound routing of faxes and controls the fax server objects including user profile data, server properties, gateways, connection objects, phonebooks, and cover pages.
· FACSys Imaging Sub-System - This FACSys component controls the rendering of document file attachments into fax format.
· FACSys Renderer Service This FACSys service controls the rendering of "printed" PCL and Postscript image files into a faxable format (i.e., TIF or DCX depending on the fax board and the image options defined at the fax server). This is an optional component
· FACSys Network Transport Service This FACSys service manages communication between the Desktop Client and FACSys Services over TCP/IP
