Installing FACSys Licenses

As of FACSys 5.0, there are two types of license models

·    FACSys Client License

·    FACSys Channel License

You install all FACSys licenses from the FACSys Administrator program or from the FACSys Management Tool. Licensing includes the license DAT file provided with your initial FACSys purchase and any subsequent licenses purchased to increase your FACSys user base, channel count or gateway access.

NOTE: Before installing the Client or Channel license, you must agree to the FACSys License terms and conditions included with your FACSys product.

A fax server's installed licenses are listed in the Licenses folder in the FACSys Administrator folder-tree. To add a license to your server, do the following:

1. The FACSys License file is a DAT file included with your download package.

2. In the FACSys Administrator program, connect to the fax server on which you want to install the license.

3. Right-click on the fax server's Licenses folder, and choose the Add License command.

4. In the Add License dialog box, browse your FACSys License disk for the DAT file. Then click the Open button.

The license is added to the server's Licenses folder. To further verify that the license is installed, view the server's Properties dialog box. The server's installed user licenses are indicated on the General property sheet.

Gateway Licenses - FACSys 5.0 Enterprise includes all eMail Gateway Licenses and Multi-Function Peripheral Gateway Licenses.

Additional Licenses may be required for: HPCL-PS rendering engine, SAP Systems and embedded code programs using HPCL files

·    Out-Side IN(TM)

·    SAP Gateway License and Comserver for SAP systems.
