Defining Fax Server Alerts
Previous  Top  Next

An alert is a condition or rule you define to instruct FACSys to notify you when fax server maintenance is needed. FACSys periodically monitors all system resources and determines if any of the server's condition alerts are met. For example, if you set the 'available disk space' alert to 10%, then FACSys will post a message in the Windows Event Log when the fax server has less than 10% of its disk space available.
On the Alerts property sheet of the Properties dialog box, define the condition alerts for the fax server. Then click the OK or Apply button. If a true condition is encountered, an event is posted in the fax server
's Windows Event Log. To view the events, use the Windows Event Viewer in the Administrator Folder.

NOTE:The events in the Sent Items and Inbox folders are the sent and received faxes belonging to your FACSys users. Even if a user has moved a fax message into a custom folder in their FACSys Desktop, the fax message will no longer be accessible after it is deleted from the server.

To view the events posted to the Windows Event Log, use the Windows Event Viewer in the Administrator Folder.
