FACSys 5.0 Enterprise Edition has a completely re- architected database platform based on MS-SQL. The FACSys Administrator and Desktop Client Programs retain their familiar 'look and feel' to minimize user and administrator retraining. The FACSys Enterprise Browser will permit access and operation of FACSys 5.0 through a browser interface, and/or from inside Outlook.
FACSys® Fax Messaging Gateway is a well-integrated messaging platform that does much more than just enable users to send faxes without leaving their desks. A FACSys implementation can release the additional potential value residing in databases, customer service applications, workflow systems, document imaging tools, and many other enterprise assets.
FACSys is a client/server network product that provides for fax messaging across a variety of platforms. FACSys users use the FACSys Desktop program to send, receive, and manage faxes from their workstations. Outbound faxes can include multiple destinations, optional cover page settings, file attachments, and scheduling options.
Users can also send faxes from any SMTP mail application, Windows application, drag and drop, DDE command interfaces, embedded codes in a print stream, the Internet, and custom applications developed with the FACSys Active Fax Messaging object model.
Administrators use the sophisticated FACSys Administrator program to manage all fax server events across the corporate enterprise. In a single hierarchical list or "tree view," administrators can view and manage the fax gateway services, user profiles, fax devices, and routing rules for the entire fax network.
