Facsys has the ability to route inbound and outbound faxes to an Archive location either on a network share or on an ftp site as well as store the data in the SQL Database.

 

Inbound and Outbound Archiving can be set at the server-level as well as the user-level. It cannot be set at the group-level. Please refer to the document Facsys Enterprise Storage and Archiving for further information.

Inbound

  • Archiving inbound faxes for all users using this gateway - Enabling this option archives inbound faxes in a specified location. Use the Modify button to specify the gateway to be used.

Outbound

  • Archive outbound faxes for all users using this gateway - Enabling this option archives outbound faxes in a specified location. Use the Modify to specify the gateway to be used.

  • Archive fax images and metadata for all the recipients - Enabling this option archives fax images and metadata in a specified location.

 

NOTES:

  • If the archive location is changed. the Facsys services must be restarted.
  • Network locations that are used in the gateways must be stated as a UNC Name (\\servername\sharename)
  • If a fax is deleted from a server's Inbox or sent items, the fax WILL NOT be deleted from the archived location.
