An alert is a condition or rule that is defined to instruct FACSys to notify a FACSys Admin when fax server maintenance is needed. FACSys periodically monitors all system resources and determines if any of the server's condition alerts are met.
On the Alerts property sheet of the Properties dialog box, define the condition alerts for the fax server. If a true condition is encountered, an event is posted in the fax server's Windows Event Log.
System Alert Options
Automatically delete events from the Sent Items folder after the number of days specified - Enabling this option causes any items in the Sent Items folder to be deleted from the server after a specified number of days.
Automatically delete received faxes from the Inbox folder after the number of days specified - Enabling this option causes any items in the Inbox folder to be deleted from the server after a specified number of days.
Notify the system when the percent of faxes failing due to line errors exceeds - Enabling this option causes an Windows Event when the system has a specified percentage of faxes failing. This is particularly helpful when troubleshooting fax server issues.
Notify the system when the available disk space is less than - Enabling this option warns administrators when the fax server is running out of hard drive space.
Automatically monitor fax server service dependencies and restart them if necessary - Enabling this option causes FACSys to monitor the fax server services, and restart them at every might if they stop running.
