To instruct Facsys to route a user's inbound faxes to an email Inbox, select the User Profile and go to the Properties. Next, go to the Routing tab. The printer information is defined here.
Printer Information
- Print all received faxes to the following network print resource - enabling this option will cause Facsys to route all of a user's inbound faxes to the network printer in addition to listing the faxes in the user's Facsys Desktop Inbox folder.
NOTE: Enable inbound routing services option on the General tab must also be selected.
- When defining the network Printer, use the UNC format in defining the path. The printer must be shared (ie. a specific printer - shared as printer3 - attached to the "Sales" server may be indicated by \\sales\printer3).
- Printer - choose from LaserJet Compatible, Postscript Compatible, or Xerox Document Center.
- Form - Choose from Letter, Legal, A4, Automatic Selection, or Auto Selection (US)
- Tray - choose from Automatically Select, Tray 1, Tray 2, or Manual Tray 1
- Print received faxes favoring quality for speed - if this option is enabled, faxes will be printed at a better quality. If disabled, faxes will print at a faster rate.
- Print fax confirmation on: ___ Success ___ Failure - fax confirmations for successful and failed faxes will be sent to the network print resource.
NOTES:
The Windows account associated with the Facsys Server service must have appropriate rights to print to the network print device.
If the printer is connected to a domain, the Windows account associated with the Facsys Server service must be defined as a domain user.
If the print queue resides on an Windows system, the queue must be shared.
