The connection to the Facsys Enterprise SQL database can be made at one of three times:

The Facsys Management Tools

Open the Facsys Management Tools (FMT) from the Start | All Program | Facsys | Facsys Management Tools |

Right-click on Database Connectivity and select Add Server to farm |

Select the name of the SQL server. Using the Refresh button will "poll" the network for all existing SQL servers. |

Enter the authentication method (ie NT Integrated security or username/password). If selecting Username/password, remember to select the option "Allow saving passwords" |

Select the name of the database. By default, the database name is Facsys, but it can be anything. Press Test Connection. If the database does not currently exist on the SQL server, it will be created. |

If using an older version of SQL, choose the option Attach a database file as a database name. Enter the name of the database name and the filename that would be used to represent this database. |
The Facsys Administrator Program

Open the Facsys Administrator Program and log on as the Facsys Administrator. Connect to the Facsys server. |

Select the Data Store toolbar option and select Add Server to farm |

Select the name of the SQL server. Using the Refresh button will "poll" the network for all existing SQL servers. |
