NOTES:

  • To use these options, the folder(s) where the images are to be stored MUST BE created BEFORE this option is activated. The permissions must be set so that the account that runs the Facsys services has read/write permissions to the folder (see Windows Services).

  • If the location of the storage options change, the Facsys services must be restarted.

  • Network locations must be stated as a UNC Name (\\servername\sharename)

  • If a user deletes a fax out of the server's Inbox or sent items, the fax WILL be deleted from the storage folder.
  • Inbound

    • Store all Inbound Fax images in the database - Enabling this option allows all inbound fax images to be stored in the SQL database.  If using SQL 2005 Express, this is NOT a recommended option since there is a 4GB database to this version of SQL 2006.

    • Store all inbound fax images on the network - Used with the above option, all inbound fax images can be rerouted to a network destination or to a local share. Inside of this share, there will be a series of folders (ie. C:\incoming\2005\11\17\9\4 means C:\incoming\year\month\day\hour\(minutesmod10)

    Outbound

    • Store all Outbound Fax Image Attachments in the database - Enabling this option allows all outbound fax images to be stored on the database.

    • Store all outbound fax image attachments on the network - Used with the option directly above, all outbound fax images can be rerouted to a network destination or to a local share. Inside of this share, there will be a series of folders (ie. C:\incoming\2005\11\17\10\4 means C:\incoming\year\month\day\hour\(minutesmod10)

    CoverPage

    • Store all coverpages on the network - Enabling this option allows all coverpages to be stored to a share on the network.
