Before you can update or modify an existing text or graphic object on your cover page, you must select the object. To select a single object, simply click on the object. When selected, several anchor points or handles appear on the marquee or dotted line that surrounds the object.
After you have selected an object, you can make changes to the object, move the object, and resize the object. For example, if you select a text block, you can modify the properties of the text (e.g., change the font, font size, and font style).
Selecting Multiple Objects
You may want to make the same change to more than one object. The fastest way to do this is to select all the objects and then apply the change. For example, assume you have several text blocks that are shown in a 10-point font. If you want to change the point size to 20 for all text blocks, you can select all of the text blocks and then choose the 20-point size on the Text toolbar.
To select more than one object, use the Multiple Select tool
To select multiple objects:
When you release the mouse button, all objects surrounded completely by the rectangular box will be selected. Note that you must surround an entire object for it to be included in the selection.
After you select all objects, you apply your change. For example, you might change the font, font size, font style, paragraph alignment, or position of the selected objects.
