Renaming Custom Folders

Use the following procedure to change the name of a custom folder you have created. Note that you cannot rename a default system folder.

 

 

NOTE:Similar to Windows 95 and NT, you can quickly change the name of a folder by clicking on the custom folder name two times. The original folder name will be highlighted, allowing you to type a new folder name.

 

 

 

 

To change the name of a custom folder:

 

 

1.Highlight the folder you want to rename, and choose the File|Folder|Rename command.

The original folder name will be highlighted.

 

 

2.Type the new folder name.

As you type, the highlighted original name will be replaced by the new name.

 

 

3.Press the <Enter> key on your keyboard to save the new folder name.
