| Another TIP: Avoid the use of VERTICAL lines on your fax pages. They transmit slower. Horizontal lines are ok. This is because vertical lines, like in a table, defeat the CCITT Group III bit stuffing compression techniques used in fax transmissions.

| To use the FACSys Cover Page Editor to create a new cover page:
|

| 1. | From the FACSys Desktop, choose the File | New | Cover Page command.
|
| FACSys launches the Cover Page Editor application, which you use to create your cover page.
|
|
|
| 2. | Design your new cover page. The Cover Page Editor is discussed in detail in the following section.
|
|
|
| 3. | To save your cover page, choose the Save command from the Cover Page Editor's File menu.
|
| If you have not assigned a title to the cover page before you saved the file, the Cover Page Editor displays the Set Title dialog box.
|
|
|
| 4. | In the Set Title dialog box, enter a cover page title and click OK.
|
| The title is assigned to the cover page file and displays in the title bar of the Cover Page Editor.

|
| 5. | To close the Cover Page Editor, choose the Exit command from the File menu.
|
| FACSys closes the Cover Page Editor and then displays the New Cover Page dialog box.
|

|
| 6. | Define the cover page properties.
|
| In the Name field, FACSys displays the cover page title you entered in the Set Title dialog box. Make any necessary changes to the name.
|

|
| To make this a shared cover page available to all FACSys users on your current fax server, enable the 'Shared Cover Page' option.
|
|
|
| NOTE: | After you create a cover page, you cannot change its "type." For example, you cannot change a personal cover page into a shared cover page.

| 7. | To close the Cover Page Properties dialog box, click the OK button.
|
| Your cover page is added to your FACSys Desktop Cover Pages folder.
|
|
|
| NOTE: | All FACSys cover pages are maintained at the fax server. You cannot save or maintain a FACSys cover page on your local workstation.
