| Before you can update or modify an existing text or graphic object on your cover page, you must select the object. To select a single object, simply click on the object. When selected, several anchor points or handles appear on the marquee or dotted line that surrounds the object.
| After you have selected an object, you can make changes to the object, move the object, and resize the object. For example, if you select a text block, you can modify the properties of the text (e.g., change the font, font size, and font style).
| You may want to make the same change to more than one object. The fastest way to do this is to select all the objects and then apply the change. For example, assume you have several text blocks that are shown in a 10-point font. If you want to change the point size to 20 for all text blocks, you can select all of the text blocks and then choose the 20-point size on the Text toolbar.

| To select more than one object, use the Multiple Select tool. You can invoke this tool by choosing its Command toolbar button or by choosing the Select command from the Tools menu. When you choose the Multiple Select tool, the mouse cursor displays as a pointing arrow. (This is the same cursor that appears when no tool is selected.)
| To select multiple objects:
| 1. | Choose the Multiple Select tool.
| 2. | Click on the Cover Page Editor application window and hold down the left mouse button.
| 3. | Drag the mouse to create a rectangular box around all of the objects you want to select.
| 4. | Release the mouse button.
| When you release the mouse button, all objects surrounded completely by the rectangular box will be selected. Note that you must surround an entire object for it to be included in the selection.
| After you select all objects, you apply your change. For example, you might change the font, font size, font style, paragraph alignment, or position of the selected objects.
| NOTE: | You can also choose multiple objects by holding down the <Shift> key and clicking on each object you want to select.
