Sorting Items in a Folder
Previous  Top  Next

In the FACSys Desktop item details list, column headings identify the items contained in the selected folder. If you are looking for a particular fax item, it may help if you sort the items in the folder.

There are two ways to sort items in a folder:

·To arrange the items according to a single sort field, you can simply click on the column heading by which you want to sort. For example, the Inbox folder details include the headings "From," "Status," and "Pages." To sort the inbound fax files in ascending order by their sender, click on the From column heading. The items will be sorted alphabetically in ascending order (i.e., from A to Z). Click on the From column heading again, and the items will be sorted alphabetically in descending order (i.e., from Z to A).

The sort icon helps you identify which column is driving the sort and how the items are being sorted (i.e., ascending or descending).

·To arrange the items according to both primary and secondary sort fields, choose the View | Sort command and define the sorting parameters. Select a Primary Sort Field and define its order. Select a Secondary Sort Field and define its order. Click OK to apply your sort options and close the Sort dialog box.
