Receiving Faxes
Previous  Top  Next

By simply opening your FACSys Desktop Inbox folder, you have access to your personal fax files. From within the Inbox, you view and manage the faxes you have received.

Regardless of the routing instructions defined in your FACSys user profile, your inbound faxes are also accessible from your FACSys Desktop Inbox folder. For example, even if your faxes are routed to your e-mail application or to a network printer, they are also listed in your FACSys Desktop Inbox.

All fax files are maintained at the FACSys server that handled the inbound fax transmission. Therefore, the faxes listed in your FACSys Inbox reflect your fax files on the FACSys fax server to which you are currently connected. Your current server is indicated at the top of the FACSys Desktop folder list.

NOTES:

1.Your fax messages are stored on the fax server. However, you can save a fax image file so it is accessible outside of FACSys.

2.The folders and items listed in your FACSys Desktop reflect your configuration and fax resources on the FACSys fax server to which you are currently connected. Your current server is indicated in the FACSys Desktop folder tree. To logon to another FACSys fax server, choose the Log Off command from the File menu.

3.If you are responsible for routing faxes that have not been assigned automatically to a specific FACSys user, the Unrouted folder will be included in your FACSys Desktop folder list. For instructions on routing these unassigned faxes.

4.To view your fax files on another FACSys fax server, choose the File | Log Off command and log onto another server.
