Sending Faxes from the FACSys Desktop
Previous  Top  Next

From the FACSys Desktop, you use the New Fax Message window to prepare your outbound faxes. FACSys renders the scheduled files into fax image format and then sends the fax to all destinations you define.

To display the New Fax Message window from the FACSys Desktop, choose the File|New|Message command. FACSys displays the New Fax Message window in which you define the fax recipients, file attachments, cover page, and scheduling information. Click below for more information on each task:

Defining Optional File Attachments

Defining Cover Page Options

Defining Fax Schedule, Priority, and Optional Fields

NOTE:The New Message window contains its own menu bar, toolbar, and controls. You can have multiple New Fax Message windows open at the same time.

To send the outbound fax, click the Send Fax toolbar button in the New Fax Message window. The fax will be listed in your Outbox with a "pending" status. FACSys will send the fax according to its schedule method and priority.

After the fax has been sent by the fax server, it will be listed in your Sent Items folder.

If print confirmations have been enabled on the FACSys fax server, a confirmation of your sent fax will be printed at either the printer defined in your FACSys user profile or the fax server's default printer. (This depends on the properties defined for the fax server.)
