On the Message tab of the New Fax Message window, define optional file attachments to include with the fax.
| • | To send a file with your fax, click the Attach File toolbar button. Using the Add Attachment dialog box, browse your drives and directories to find the file you want to include with your outbound fax. |
Highlight the file name, and click the Open button. The selected file will be added to the attachments list. The default properties defined for the attachment depend on the type of file you selected.
If you have configured the FACSys Desktop to render attachments locally (Tools|Options|Sending tab|Advanced Options), the application associated with the file type will be invoked to output the selected file to a printed format. The printed output file will then be attached to your fax message.
| • | To remove a file from the attachments list, highlight one or more files and click the Delete toolbar button. |
| • | To reorder the file attachments, right-click on the attachment icon and choose the Move Up or Move Down command, as appropriate. The files will be faxed in the order in which they appear in this list. |
| • | To view or modify the properties of an attachment, highlight the attachment icon and click the Properties toolbar button. |
NOTES:
| • | Choosing a higher resolution will require a longer transmission time. |
| • | For ASCII file types only, you can define the font and font size. |
| • | The Scale option is only available for graphic files that have a non-standard page width. When this option is selected, small images are enlarged and/or large images are reduced to fit onto a standard page size. The aspect ratio of all scaled images is maintained. |
| • | To eliminate page breaks when faxing multiple files, enable the 'No Page Break After This File' option. This option is desirable when the file contents do not require a full page. |
