To help you manage the objects on the cover page, the Facsys Cover Page Editor provides the following editing commands on the Edit menu:
Cut
- The Cut command and Command toolbar button are active only an object has been selected on the cover page. Use the Cut command to remove the selected object from the cover page and place it into the Windows clipboard. After the object is cut, it can be pasted onto the cover page, or into another application.
Copy
- The Copy command and Command toolbar button are active only an object has been selected on the cover page. Use the Copy command to copy selected text and graphics into the Windows clipboard. The original object is left unchanged. After you object is copied, it can be pasted onto the cover page, or into another application.
Paste
- After an object has been cut or copied, it can be pasted onto the cover page, or into another application. Other objects on the Windows clipboard may also be pasted into a cover page (ie. objects created in Paint). If pasting a graphic, black-and-white images should be used for best results.
NOTE: For best results with pasted graphics, use black and white images having a maximum width of 1728 pixels. This means "pure" black and white; not 256 gray scale graphics.
Paste From
- To paste a graphic image contained in another file onto the cover page, use the Paste From command. The Cover Page Editor displays the Open dialog box with a browse button where the location of the graphic file can be found.
The chosen file must be in one of the graphic formats recognized by Facsys (DCX, PCX, TIF, BMP, MG3). After navigating to the file, click the OK or Open button, and the source file is pasted onto the cover page as a single graphic object.
NOTE: If the source file consists of more than one page, only the contents of the first page will be pasted onto the cover page.
To resize the pasted graphic, select the graphic object and drag the handles to a new location.
