Defining Cover Page Options for Your Fax

Top

To define the cover page options for your fax, click the Cover Page tab in the New Fax Message window.

Quick Faxing!        You can use these Cover Page fields to send a quick fax message without an accompanying file. For quick messages, simply select a cover page and type your message text. Don't define any file attachments.

Define the cover page parameters as follows:

Cover Page - If the Select Cover Page access right is enabled in your FACSys user profile, you have the ability to attach a personal or shared fax cover page to your fax. Select an available cover page from the drop-down list.

All cover pages are stored at the fax server. The System Cover Page is the default cover page assigned to the FACSys server by your FACSys Administrator.

NOTE:        If you do not have the Select Cover Page access right, then the fax cover page assigned by your FACSys Administrator will be attached to your outbound faxes. You cannot apply another cover page to your fax.

Subject - Enter information to identify the fax. The Subject text you enter here will display in the Subject column of the outbound fax folders (e.g., Outbox, Pending Approval, Sent Items).

Message - In the area provided, type the message text you want placed on the fax cover page. Also apply any character or paragraph formatting to the text. FACSys will retain all formatting you apply and render the rich text formatted (RTF) message text.

NOTE:        If there is a %NOTE% field on the selected cover page, then your message will be placed in the Notes area. If there is not a %NOTE% field on the selected cover page, then your message will be placed on a page immediately following the cover page.
