To send a fax from your mail application, you simply enter a fax address as the message's destination.
Fax address guidelines for each of the mail applications supported by FACSys are listed in the table below. For detailed specifications, refer to the mail application's documentation. Note also that there are detailed Technical Support Bulletins available on the FACSys web site which also discuss FACSys email gateway integration and use.
Mail Application Syntax and Examples
Lotus cc:Mail FACSYS {FAX:1-212-555-1212}where "FACSYS" is the "Fax Post Office" defined in cc:Mail, or Mary Jones {FAX:1-212-555-1212} where "Mary Jones" is a non-permanent fax address. Lotus Notes Mary Jones {FAX: 1-212-555-1212}@FAXSERV orMary Jones @ FAX: 1-212-555-1212 @FAXSERV where "FAXSERV" is the Lotus Notes foreign domain name. For Lotus Notes, the destination address must follow extended address conventions as shown above by "FAX" and the curly braces, and must end with the Notes foreign domain name.
