In the Facsys Desktop item details list, column headings identify the items contained in the selected folder. If looking for a particular item, it may help to sort the items in a particular folder.
There are two ways to sort items in a folder:
- To arrange the items according to a single sort field, click on the column heading to sort on. For example, the Inbox folder details include the headings "From," "Status," and "Pages." To sort the inbound fax files in ascending order by their sender, click on the From column heading. The items will be sorted alphabetically in ascending order (ie. from A to Z). Click on the From column heading again, and the items will be sorted alphabetically in descending order (ie. from Z to A).
The sort icon helps to identify which column is driving the sort and how the items are being sorted (ie. ascending or descending).
- To arrange the items according to both primary and secondary sort fields, choose the View | Sort command and define the sorting parameters. Select a Primary Sort Field and define its order. Select a Secondary Sort Field and define its order. Click OK to apply the sort options and close the Sort dialog box.
