Receiving Faxes

Top  Previous  Next

By simply opening the FACSys Desktop Inbox folder, a user has access to their personal fax files.

From within the Inbox, users can view and manage received faxes.

Regardless of the routing instructions defined in a user's FACSys profile, their inbound faxes are also accessible from their FACSys Desktop Inbox folder. (ie even if a user's faxes are routed to an e-mail application or to a network printer, they will also be listed in their FACsys Desktop Inbox.)

All fax files are maintained at the FACSys server that handled the inbound fax transmission. Therefore, the faxes listed in a user's FACSys Inbox reflect their fax files on the FACSys fax server to which they are currently connected. A user's current server is indicated at the top of the FACSys Desktop Folder List (ie FACSys Administrator on ANNEX).

NOTES:

1.A users fax messages are stored on the fax server. However, the images can be saved onto the local machine for use by other applications.

2.The folders and items listed in a users FACSys Desktop reflect their configuration and fax resources on the FACSys fax server to which they are currently connected. A user's current server is indicated at the top of the FACSys Desktop Folder List (ie FACSys Administrator on ANNEX).To logon to another FACSys fax server, choose the File | Log Off command.

3.If a user is responsible for routing faxes that have not been assigned automatically to a specific FACSys user, the Unrouted folder will be included in their FACSys Desktop folder list. For instructions on routing these unassigned faxes.

4.To view the fax files on another FACSys fax server, choose the File | Log Off command and log onto another server.
