Using the Facsys Desktop

The Facsys Desktop displays fax resources in a hierarchical list or a "tree view." At a glance, a user has access to their inbound faxes, outbound faxes, fax phonebooks and fax cover pages.

The Facsys Desktop consists of two panels separated by a "slider bar." To resize the panels, use the mouse to slide the bar to the right or left. Position the mouse over the bar and hold down the mouse button as the bar is moved horizontally.

The two panels in the Facsys Desktop contain the following:

• The Folder Tree - The left panel lists the folders that represent the system and personal Facsys resources to which a user has access, (ie. received faxes, sent faxes, system and personal phonebooks, and cover pages).
  
  
• The Item List - The right panel lists the items contained in the selected folder. The selected folder is the "open" or currently active folder in the left panel. For example, when a user clicks the Inbox folder, all faxes they have received are listed in the right panel.
  
  NOTE: All server-based resources are located on the fax server to which a user is currently connected (ie shared phonebooks, shared cover pages).  Personal resources are saved locally (ie. personal phonebooks and personal cover pages).
