About FACSys Phonebooks
Previous  Top  Next

FACSys phonebooks eliminate your need to retype often-used fax destination names and numbers. Every phonebook consists of fax destination entries that can include individuals, companies and/or groups. When you are addressing a fax, you simply select one or more fax destinations from your FACSys phonebooks.

FACSys supports two types of phonebooks, but the Personal Phonebook is NOT an avialable feature in FACSys 5.0 Enterprise Browser.

·System or shared phonebooks - These "system-wide" phonebooks are created and maintained by FACSys users that have the 'Manage Shared Directories' permission enabled in their FACSys user profile. Shared phonebooks are available to all users connected to the FACSys server on which the phonebook was created. There can be a maximum of 256 shared phonebooks defined on each FACSys fax server.

·Personal phonebook - FACSys users can maintain their own personal phonebook that consists of the names and fax numbers of the persons, companies and groups to whom they send faxes. Your personal FACSys phonebook file can be located on your local computer or anywhere on the network.
