Saving Received Faxes

Top  Previous  Next

All FACSys fax files and message resources are maintained at the fax server. If you will require future access to a fax, you should save the fax in a file format and location that is local to your computer.

When you save a fax message, FACSys creates a new file in the format and location you specify. The format and location of the original fax message will remain on the fax server.

To save a fax message:

1.Double-click on the fax message you want to save.
2.The fax will be in the form on an attachment file.  Click on the attachment to view it.
3.Beside the Size, Rotation and page number text boxes, there is a Download button.  Click it.
4.Use the file download dialog box to save the file to the designed location.
5. FACSys displays the Save As dialog box.  Enter a name for the new file, and choose the format in which you want to save the fax message. Available formats include: DCX, PCX, and TIFF Group 3/4. To overwrite an existing file, select a file from the displayed list of file names.  To change the target destination, select a drive from the 'Save in' drop-down list. To open a folder or directory, double-click on the folder name.
6.Click the Save button.  The fax image file is saved in the format and location you defined.
